The first page I ever made for TONEDEAF! Originally completed on March 28th, 2023.

I had only drawn Cadence like 2-3 times before starting this page, and hardly had a personality picked out for her, so she was shaped a lot by these next four pages.

[PANEL 1]
A crescent moon shines over a city-street. A brick apartment building is in the foreground, with a couple more nondescript buildings lining the street. A large cinema is visible at the end of the road. Dialogue is over the night sky.
CADENCE (OFF): -so then she requested that I redo the entire photo shoot-
CAPRICE (OFF): ugh... seriously??
CADENCE (OFF): Yep... people suck.

[PANEL 2]
Caprice sits cross-legged on her bed clutching her pillow to her chest with both arms. She's wearing pale pink pajamas and is blushing as she looks down at a laptop, opened and sitting on the bed. Polaroids and a calendar are hung up on the wall behind her. No dialogue.

[PANEL 3]
CADENCE (OFF): Hey, uh, is everything okay? You've been quieter than normal tonight.
Cadence responds while looking off to the right of the page, avoiding eye-contact. Her ears have turned downwards.
CAPRICE: Huh?? Oh! Uh, yeah!! Everything's fine!!!

[PANEL 4]
A close-up of Caprice's laptop screen, depicting a video chat with Cadence, who is sitting at a desk in a dark bedroom with a steaming cup of a hot drink. Her bedroom and clothing is all magenta.
CADENCE: Oh, c'mon, I know you better than that!
CADENCE (QUIETLY, TO HERSELF): Also, you're really bad at hiding things.
CADENCE (RETURN TO NORMAL VOLUME): What's up?

[PANEL 5]
CADENCE (OFF): ...Did she reach out to you again?
Caprice is shown with a downtrodden expression, looking further off to the side, still clutching her pillow.
CAPRICE: (ellipsis)

[PANEL 6]
A two-drawing panel of Cadence and Caprice looking into their cameras towards each other. Cadence is on the left, leaning forwards onto her desk and looking into her computer's webcam with a look of concern. On the right, Caprice leans forwards, slightly burying her face into her pillow. A scribble over her head denotes her frustration.
CADENCE: Uhh... do you wanna talk about it?
CAPRICE: ...if that's alright.
CADENCE: Of course it is, silly :)
