Welcome to TONEDEAF!

Hello!

If you're reading this, that means you stumbled onto literally the coolest webcomic site ever created, made specifically for hosting TONEDEAF!

Let me start with a MASSIVE thank you to my oldest brother for working tirelessly on this site over the past 3-4 months. It's everything I've always dreamed it would be. I requested a LOT of features that I'm sure were tedious as hell to program, so believe me brother when I say we (both myself and all future readers) appreciate your hard work. I'll seriously never be able to thank you enough for making my dream site a reality.

(That being said, the site is still quite new, so if you find any bugs, please feel free to send me an email detailing them at adorashark16@gmail.com, or just DM me on Bluesky or something).

Now, with a site THIS feature-packed, there's a lot to see! So, I figured I'd use this first blog post to give a quick guide of everything on offer:

Home

"Home" is where you'll find the main comic reader!
In the future, the reader will default to the newest page, but for this week it will take you straight to the very beginning of the series.

By default, the desktop version of the site displays the comic in an immersive double-page mode, and the mobile version displays the comic in a simpler single-page reading mode. At any time, you can click these buttons to switch between them no matter what device you're reading on:

Right next to those buttons is a toggle for viewing the pages at their full quality (warning! the HD versions of the pages are MASSIVE, so this may cause the reader to slow down considerably)

Looking for a specific chapter/page? Use the page browser! Click on the current image number to open it. From here you can browse thumbnails of all pages in chronological order, pre-sorted into chapters!

To either side of that are your standard navigation buttons: The first button on either side progresses you by 1 image, the middle button jumps you to the start of the previous/next chapter, and the last button sends you to either the very newest or the very oldest page.

Under the comic page is the Page Notes box! Here you can see character tags (click these to go straight to a character's page), any notes I have about the page, and a button to show the page transcript.

At the top left of the page is a quick-access button to the newest blog post! Click on this to see the latest news posted to the site.

At the top right of the page is the featured Fan Art of the Week! Be sure to check it out alongside new pages weekly, as it will update at the same time. Click on the image to go straight to the gallery page where you can see the image larger and read about it!

Be sure to leave a comment at the bottom of the page! Currently, comments do need to be manually approved by a moderator, so they may take a short bit to show up.

Characters

Welcome to the Characters page, home of the character carousel!

Click on the left and right arrows to cycle through revealed characters, where you can read a little more info about each of them. Right now, there are only five characters here, but don't worry! Characters will be added to the carousel as they enter the story :3

You can quickly jump to recent comic pages and gallery images tagged with the selected character, or click "See All" to jump straight to the Archive or Gallery pre-filtered.

For some characters, you can find a themed Spotify playlist for them! Click the link if you want to check out some music that the character would like.

(Don't read too much into the playlists, they're just for fun, and I'll probably be tweaking them over and over in the coming months. Additionally, just to be extra clear, these are songs the character would like, not necessarily songs that represent the character (although there may be a couple of those mixed in too!)

Gallery

Here you can browse all other TONEDEAF!-related art that isn't a comic page or in-use elsewhere on the site! This includes fan-art, art trades, and commissions.
More art will be added frequently over the coming 1-2 months, so check back often! I have a lot to share already, and I hope that this section will only continue to grow over time!

At the very top, you can filter by character or tag to find exactly what you're looking for! You can also sort all pictures by publish date.

Click on any image to full-screen it and see additional information about it, including the artist (and links to their socials if it's not me!) and a full image description for screen readers!

You can also leave comments directly on different images here! As stated before, currently, comments do need to be manually approved by a moderator, so they may take a short bit to show up.

Whenever there's a new announcement of some kind, it'll be posted here!

As stated above, you can jump to the newest blog post using this button on the home page!
