Return to present-day. Caprice is now laying in her bed with the comforter over her and the room's lights off. She sadly looks into her laptop, which illuminates her face as she speaks.
CAPRICE: I think that what I really wanted was proof that she loved me as much as she said she did.
CAPRICE: But I never got that.
[PANEL 2]
One more shot of Young Caprice and Rhapsody. A side-view of them standing back-to-back, with Caprice on the left and Rhapsody on the right. Caprice is looking down, with her nearest eye covered completely by her hair and a tear streaming down her face. She's clutching her left arm with her right hand. Rhapsody stands with a confident and hopeful expression as she looks up smiling. Her hands are on her hips. The background fades from a dark teal to a light teal, with Rhapsody's face and side of the panel bathed in a light, and Caprice's face and side of the panel covered in shadow.
CAPRICE (OFF): She saw a future for herself. But I was never in it.

A shot of Caprice laying in bed, now from the perspective of the ceiling looking down at her. She stares sadly at the ceiling, with her left arm under the covers and her right arm folded so her hand rests gently on her chest. The laptop with the video call visible on-screen sits on the bed on the right side of the panel (Caprice's left), illuminating the scene. The left side of Caprice's face is lit up by the laptop, with the right half covered in darkness.
CAPRICE: I'm still angry. All these years later.
CAPRICE: And I hate that.
CAPRICE: I've come so far, and yet, she still gets in my head.
CAPRICE: She taught me that the people who love me won't do a thing for me.
CAPRICE: That they don't actually care.
CAPRICE: And I still, all these years later, struggle with unlearning that.

Cadence sits in her desk chair, now with her knees pulled up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. She looks into her webcam with concern.
CADENCE: Is there any way I can help you unlearn that?
CADENCE: I'm not sure how to best be here for you, but I want to help however I can.

A shot of Cadence's computer monitor, depicting Caprice turned onto her side and looking towards the camera. She still has tears in her eyes, but now she's gently smiling.
CAPRICE: Honestly, just you listening...
CAPRICE: ...it's meant the world to me.
CAPRICE: I really, really appreciate it, Cadence.

Cadence leans forwards with both hands on her desk and kisses the webcam camera directly. A little heart comes out of her kiss with the SFX "smek."
CADENCE: Of course!! I'm always happy to listen. I love you so so so much!
CAPRICE (OFF): Aww, you're gonna make me blush.
CADENCE: You are literally always blushing.
CAPRICE (OFF): What-!? I am not!
CADENCE: Sure, babe.
CAPRICE (OFF): Oh my God. Why the heck do I like you so much.

A shot of the Caprice's apartment window from the outside. Through the window you can see the laptop resting on the best, illuminating the room a bit. Caprice is not visible through the window.
CADENCE (OFF): Because I'm cute. And also because I found a subtitled version of the new episode of Ultra Kaiju Beast Wars.
CAPRICE (OFF): Wait, what!? For real????
CADENCE (OFF): I wouldn't bluff about that. C'mon, let's watch and pretend that we're cuddling.
CAPRICE (OFF): That is a phenomenal idea.
CAPRICE (OFF): ...And, uh, Cadence?
CADENCE (OFF): Mhm?
CAPRICE (OFF): Thanks again for listening.
CADENCE (OFF): Anytime, Caprice <3
